Pelican Residential’s beach house is intended to evoke fond memories of every child’s happy experiences at the seashore. Boardwalk storefronts designed so children can act as either customers or vendors will be reminiscent of souvenir shopping, french fries, and ice cream shops on hot summer days. At the rear of the house, a life guard’s chair that can be climbed on and an umbrella rental shack with a Dutch door will also provide an opportunity to be renter or patron.
Round windows on one side feature like cruise ship openings and the saloon doors, through which children can enter, lead to a fun place to climb up to an interim platform above. When the explorers look out, the fourth side looks like part of an amusement park ride with the child in a Ferris wheel car. Climbing further up to the roof deck, children will find a rope nest suspended over an opening in the ceiling of the house.
To finish off this bayside dream, the house features a removable section of boardwalk in front of the shops and a hinged ramp painted to look like sand that swings down from the lifeguard stand/rental shack landing to create a sloped ramp. This summertime hangout will be one that all can enjoy!
